Might As Well Make Another Style Board

The caterer said there would be communication a week from our last meeting. That means we should have heard from him Friday, August 8. This morning I sent him a friendly reminder that seven days has stretched into 11 and we’d like the information he promised.* Also, as you know, the mock invitation I mailed to our home still hasn’t arrive.
In other words, I have nothing to say or to report. So, here’s another style board to look at.
Because I have been thwarted in my attempts to think too much about the reception thanks to Silent Bob, the caterer, this week I have been thinking about the ceremony. If you get married in a church, there’s a lot less to think about I’ve realized. The church has a sound system and a piano (or organ) and places for your guests to sit and someone to marry you. The beach, not so much. Unless, that is, you all are willing to sit on the sand very close together in a circle around us and hum the wedding march while a lifeguard performs the ceremony. Whaddya think?
If not, there’s a lot to plan out for the ceremony, too. *sigh*
*As I was typing this post, an e-mail arrived from the caterer:
I will have something to you this week. We have a major convention moving in, and the chef has been working non-stop, but I should be able to get pricing together tomorrow.
Here was Don’s response to me via IM:
Pile your promises in one hand and poo in the other and see which fills up first.
(Don, it should be noted, did not use the word “poo”.)

I love this idea. We could also all have kazoos, because everyone loves a good kazoo march.
