Light at the End of the Tunnel

I’m hesitant to even say it, but we may have found an alternate venue! From what I can tell online, it’s lovely. And the woman I spoke to seemed lovely.

I’m too scared to mention the name of the venue yet, but here’s a style board featuring some images of the property and images inspired by the setting.

Please please please keep your fingers crossed (or your eyes, or your legs … whatever works for you).

I might be completely wrong, but just from the pics you’ve posted, I feel like I’ve attended a wedding at that very site, but cannot for the life of me remember the name of the place! Can’t wait to hear where it is to see if I’m (faulty memory and all) right!

I’m keeping fingers (and whatever else) crossed for you guys — here’s hoping this is the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for…

Hmmm … what was the location of that wedding? If it’s not this venue, perhaps I need to look at it.

It’s not this location (now that I’ve figured out what this location is), but I could easily find out for you. I know it was a surprisingly picturesque park in Northern Virginia — I was quite surprised by the main building space, which reminded me a lot of the reception picture in your styleboard. That being said, it was a long time ago, so the place may have changed. Let me see what I can figure out…

OK — figured it out. It was Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling, which appears to have utterly renovated their meeting center into what appears to be a somewhat soulless space. But…and this was one of the things I remembered…the place is crawling with cabins that wedding guests could rent out if need be. So, I offer that fwitw.

Ah, yeah we looked at that place (well, we looked online anyway). It’s a bit - eh - these days, isn’t it.
