Dancin’ in Your Wooden Shoes, In a Wedding Gown

I am wearing Vera Wang on my wedding day.

No, really.  I am.

On my feet.

(Warning - picture of my feet below the fold)

Our ceremony is on the sand.  I have cute peep toe pumps for the reception and the dancing, but those heels just won’t cut it on the sand.  So I fully intended to go barefoot even though my dress would drag in the sand a little.

Originally, I planned to wear flip flops but my dress is ivory, not white, and it’s HARD to find ivory flip flops with a platform or wedge (and without some lift to keep me from tripping over the gown I might as well be barefoot) .  So, I was prepared to barefoot it when, lo and behold, I found a pair of ivory wedge flops at Kohl’s.  The fact that they were under $10 on sale and made by the wedding gown / accessories guru Vera Wang was icing on the wedding cake.

Here they are:

Vera Wang Flip Flops

(And yes, that is the skirt of my wedding dress in the picture.  Every once in awhile, when Don is not home, I put it on and walk around.  I love it that much.)

Also, my cousins gave me another pair of flip flops at my shower that imprint the words “Just Married” in the sand and I plan to wear them for some pictures and on our honeymoon is Costa Rica.  Fun!
