We love a good party - especially one that lasts for a whole weekend. As a guest at our wedding, you'll have a chance to celebrate not once, not twice, but three times! The fun gets started the night before the weddding. Who needs to rehearse?
Friday, May 1
Welcome Dinner
5:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to the home of Jim and Annemarie Dickerson (Berlin, Md.) for a Welcome Dinner of Eastern Shore favorites hosted by Eric and Penelope Whiteside. Kids are welcome and we're working on some interesting entertainment for the evening featuring some of our guests (see below)!
Directions and the exact street address will be available upon check in at the hotel and provided separately for those not staying at the hotel (we didn’t think the Dickersons would appreciate having their address and details on how to find their house published on the Internet!).
If you are able to attend, please be sure to check the appropriate box on the Response Card when you mail it so that we will have enough food and drink for everyone.

UPDATE: January 26
Do you have a talent? We want to see you perform it at the Welcome Dinner. Turns out, we know a lot of talented folks - singers, musicians, jugglers, comedians. PLEASE help us make the evening fun by performing at the Talent Showcase. Contact us to let us know if you'd like to take part. |
After you've had a chance to recover from the fun of Friday night, it's time for the main event.
Saturday, May 2
Wedding Ceremony
5:30 p.m.
Wedding on the Beach, 41st Street
More details are available on The Wedding page.
Although we love your children, we're asking you to find alternate arrangements for both the wedding and ceremony. Susan highly recommends Dial-a-Nanny, an away-from-home babysitting service that she worked for in college. They have been in business in the Ocean City area for almost 20 years, and they perform background checks and state fingerprinting on all of their employees. Many of the sitters have been with the company for years. Call (410) 641-2977 or (800) 929-2977 for more information. Reservations are required.
Cocktail Reception and Dinner
6:30-ish
Cocktail Reception, Dinner and Assorted Merry Making at the Sunset Room, 42nd Street and the Bay
More details are available on The Reception page.
The celebration continues the next morning. Whether or not you stay up all night is up to you.
Sunday, May 3
Bagel Brunch
10 a.m.
Carribean Key Indoor Pool, Francis Scott Key Family Resort
Everyone is invited - including the kids - to the hotel's Caribbean Key indoor pool for a Bagel Brunch to say goodbye. Toss back the the hair of the dog that bit you with a spicy bloody Mary, grab a bagel and smear, or just relax in the indoor hot tub. Everyone is invited, even those who choose not to stay at the hotel.
If you are able to join us, please be sure to be sure to check the appropriate box on the Response Card when you mail it in so that we can be sure to have enough food and drink to go around. If you are not a guest of the hotel, we will provide you with a wrist band so that you can access the pool area.
